Questions worth asking.
Still deciding? Tracking your own training is free—start a log and look around.
What can I track?

Anything measurable: barbell lifts, benchmark times, runs, rows, rounds, reps. Each metric gets its own graph and automatic PR detection—and you can create your own metrics.
Is my data really mine?

Yes. Your account isn’t tied to any gym, coach, or school. Leave, switch, or go solo—your full history comes with you, and you can export it as CSV or JSON any time.
How does PR detection work?

When you log a result that beats your previous best for a metric, GameDay flags it automatically—no manual bookkeeping.
Do I have to follow a program?

Not at all. Log on your own, follow the free CrossFit.com WOD, or subscribe to a coach. Mix and match however you train.
Can I import my old data?

Yes. Bring a CSV from your old tracker; the importer matches duplicate lifts and asks before merging.
What does it cost?

Tracking your own training is free, forever. Athlete Pro, which lets you upload programs you’ve bought and train them here, is $2/mo billed annually or $2.40/mo month-to-month. Coaches pay per seat—one for each athlete on a private roster: $6/mo for 3 seats + $1/extra seat billed annually, or $7.20/mo for 3 seats + $1.20/extra seat month-to-month. Add seats any time; fewer seats take effect at renewal. Public and free programs never count—anyone can follow them at no cost. Schools and districts have their own plan: see gameday.fit/schools.
Is it good for kids and PE classes?

That’s a core audience. The logging flow is simple enough for a 10-year-old, and teachers can program for a whole class.
Does it work for a garage gym?

Built for it. Follow public programming or roll your own, track every lift, and watch the numbers climb—no box membership required.
Will there be a mobile app?

It works great in your phone’s browser today, and a native app is on the roadmap.
